About Me:
I was Born & raised in Hackney East London with 3 Brothers & 1 Sister. brought up around the sound of Dub and breaks form the early 70s. In the early 80s I got in to Electro & break dancing and I massed a huge collection of vinyl from all genres, especially rap & electro, and then bought my very first Roland W30 Sampler way back in 1994. As a kid I would be playing with my brothers 45rpm singles in the early 70s , I used to cut and paste certain sounds together by using 2 tape decks to record and play the sounds, I would then play the cassette to people to get their reaction and they would tell me it was a great sound, but how did I do it? I always felt I was making future music, music that was too far ahead of itself, in 1991 I looped up " Kool is Back " at 155BPMs and stuck a serious bassline under it with dub samples and called it "big drummer bass", I played it to many people and they could not grasp the concept of having beats go that fast.... I loved it and then a few years along the line came Drum & Bass !! In the 90s I went on to building an abstract sound machine of warped ideas and mixing them together, not the ordinary kind of sound you hear, I paint beated out landscapes in my mind, then lay the pictures on my canvas, that being my home studio & this gels the concept of Blue Tone Boy Music, and I hope you can appreciate I have been doing this a long time, so enjoy the beats and pass me your comments. " It's a long road , ain't no turning back "
