About Red Clay

Red Clay
Hometown:
New York, NY
About Me:
Red Clay is a movement, which reinforces the groundwork of the four elements and historical undertakings of Hip Hop. As members of Red Clay, BARON, General Lou and Probe 4, bring together different techniques by which they communicate a life message of loyalty, love and education. Red signifies the blood of ancestors and clay represents both the human frame and foundation upon which their movement in sound is built. Under the influences of many different genres of music, their sound, Rugged Soul, has garnered them a diverse following, seen on various stages such as CBGB’s and the Nuyorican Poet’s Café. In addition to the stage, the group has appeared in various publications including the Source Unsigned Hype column and even filmed the pilot episode for UPN’s Source Sound Lab television show. Above all, they maintain their commitment to community service, organizing for artist rights and encouraging youth empowerment with the Grassroots Artist MovEment (G.A.ME) alongside M-1 (Dead Prez) and Immortal Technique. Uniting powerful intentions with meaningful music, this collective will continue to change the world.
