TOP 5 Producers of All Time and why????

Dre - can't front, this dude put the West Coast on and continues eating by letting other dudes do the work, while he gets the credit...

Will.i.Am - hottest in the game right now, if I could get a beat from anyone it would be Will.i.am.. he has the raw hip hop feel, but knows how to make a hit.

Jdilla - Not just listing him cause he passed, this dude is responsible for a big move in Hip-Hop during the 90's.

Kanye West - brought the soul back to hip hop... kinda got on a formula, but still dope as ever.

last but not least... DJ Premier - more of a beat maker than a Producer of records, but this cat has a nice catalogue...

damn i love this site man. yall are really hip hop heads.

only 5? well these are in no order but here are 5 i like on my mind right now.

lets see here....

1. PREMO. he showed me all the wonderful things you can do with a mpc 60. thats what i work with till this day

2. RZA. he created the whole kung fu movie sample style into the beats and used shit like water drops as parts of a beat. thats tuff... also people sleep but RZA started that soul sample voice sample shit. fuck kanye

3. BEATMINERZ. i never heard beats with such a muddy base before them. they would flip the sample like take all highs out and mids to get a baseline. thats the shit

4. 4th deciple. he created the sloppiest drum patterns that somehow was still on beat. i love that sound and style of production. im not really into clean crisp sounding beats.

5. STOUPE from jedi mind tricks. that dude has a good ear for samples and i like how he flips all those spanish cuts and makes them raw.

thats it for now. i got many more though

Yo,

Lets really put this shit in the proper order.

Marly Marl- The Bridge, Ain't no Half Steppin, The Vapors, The Symphony...Produced for the whole Juice crew. Eric B. and Rakim, MC lyte. One of the first cats to start using james brown samples.

Teddy Riley - You might wanna sleep, but the cat produced "The Show". Doug E fresh and Slick Rick. Add Bobby Brown, Guy, Heavy D, Black Street. Let's not forget a classic "Rump Shaka". Damn I forget Kieth Sweat!

Dr. Dre- Gotta give the Doc his due. NWA the Cronic, Doggy Style, Eminem, 50.

RZA- Wu Tang....say no more

Premier - It's hard to put Premo 5th. Mass Appeal, NY state of mind, the Group Home album, Moment of truth.

Pete Rock - Reminisce, Shut em down remix, Escapeism, The World is Yours, Tru Master. Mudered the SP1200.
I know it's only top 5 but I can't leave out the Soul Brotha

New school cats

Kanye - cant really mess with that dudes resume. Kept Jigga at the top without a doubt.

J Dilla - RIP

9th - dudes ear is sick. Everybody got a record with 9th wonder. My moms is probably in the studio with 9th right now.

Timbaland - any body that can take missy and make hits....

Hi Tech- Cat been steady in Hip Hop for a minute. 1999 one of the hardest beats of the back pack era
