Hip Hop Snobs..... SHUT UP ALREADY....

This is for all ya'll who say that hip hop from the south aint hip hop, for all of you who say you are above listening to Young Jeezy, Mims, T.I., Lil Wayne, and G-unit. It's also for those of you who say hip hop is dead.
Shut up!
Who the hell are you? Who the fuck are you to be above this music? You don't like it? Don't listen to it! Wow that was easy! Guess what, you wining about the music just gets it more publicity. Do these rappers make this music to be lyrical, to be inspirational, to be educational?
NO...

"Well... than what do they make it for Richie?"
Hey, I'm glad you asked! Probably to get play on the radio and in clubs, and to make money, and because they like too.
"Is there anything wrong with that?"
No! Nothing at all. See, America is a land of supply and demand, if there was no demand for the music these people were making, it wouldn't be made. But seeing as how this music is being made, it is apparent that there is demand for it. Do you understand now?
"Yeah, well... Kind of. Isn't this music destroying hip hop?"
No dumbass! Not at all. In fact, hip hop is as alive as it was at its' inception. There is still great hip hop being made. Some people just choose to whine because the easy to listen to shit hop is more in the public eye, as if the public would make the better choice and listen to real lyricists, but hey, this is America. It's their choice to be dumb and listen to shitty music.

In the words of a philosopher who's name I can't spell....
"I do not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend to death your right to say it."

The Funkadelic Relic, don't forget The Cunninlynguists. Cyne too.

The problem is the southern underground doesn't get a chance on the bigger screen.
Few rappers from the South that don't have money-orientated lyrics but actually try to make
something new and refreshing (necessary to keep this rap shit alive) get the love they deserve.

Labels should look for original music in the South instead of looking for the next Lil' Wayne.
Outkast is from Georgia and original as fuck, and Outkast sold more than all the Souldjah Boi's and Jeezy's put together.

But that ain't a regional problem. That's the problem with Rap music worldwide.

I think a lot of the 'haters' and 'snobs' you're referring to think the way they do because they
don't get to hear the diversity the Southern scene has to offer. Everybody's a copycat and sounds the same. Which is why movements like Justus League and Cunninlynguists deserve more respect
than rappers who sound allright but have the same style the other 400000 have.

All Factions of Hip-Hop add to the culture is some positive way. Like for example rap music has got the schools in London to put in Metal Detectors.

"Chicago were next up to bat after folks get tired of those ignorant dirty south tracks"

Never the less everyone's voice is important and I'm glad we exist.

I UNDERSATAND WHAT YOUR SAYING. BUT!!! MUSIC IS A REFLECTION OF THE TIMES AND THE PEOPLE AND IF THIS TYPE OF MUSIC COMING OUT THE SOUTH IS ANY REFLECTION ON THOSE PEOPLE
YOU ALL HAVE NOT CHANGED SINCE THE CIVIL WAR. THE WORDS AND LANGUAGE SOME OF THE ARTIST USE JUST SEEMS SO UNEDUCATED. AND I KNOW THERE HAVE GOT TO BE SOME EDUCATED PEOPLE IN THE SOUTH. OR ARE YOU SAYING ALL Y'ALL DO IS GET HIGH, SELL DRUGS CALL EVERY WOMAN YOU SEE A BITCH. THERE ARE SEVERAL GROUPS FROM THE SOUTH THAT SOUND GREAT BUT GET YOUR EDUCATION UP, LEARN THAT THERE'S MORE TO THE WORLD THAN THE SOUTH STOP DRINKING SURYP.

i dont listen to mainstream music. i listen strictly underground indie artist. we dont have the support and airtime that the commercial cats have. so to help promote and our art form. i stray away from the mainstream. i feel the supply and demand aspect, but does that justify the outrageous bitin thats goin on? hell no! the radio plays the biggest part in all of this. because if you were fed beef allday everyday, what do you want to eat? its like the artist noways are manufactured. like goin into a showroom and saying" i would like to try a jay z model, or a t.i. its cool cause one of the g.o.a.t is from da south.! brad jordan!!

This has been a problem for sometime...
I remember we used to bump Kane & Kool G equally... to dope emcees, complete opposite sides of the spectrum.
I probably still am a HipHop snob, but i don't cry down success.
what most heads like myself complain about is the lack of balance that our culture has...
We had a nice balance in the Golden Era & through the control & eventual rape of HipHop from record labels {not the mainstream} they've basically put blocks on anything really challenging or conscious on radio. But like dude said, you don't like it? don't listen! that's why i plug in my pod & turn off the radio {big up DP!}.
With the industry as we know it on it's last legs, the labels have been squeezing the life outta this music for the last 10/15 years. It will eventually divide & we'll have true access to any & all HipHop music from all over the world... God Bless the Internet!
But for the record, hipHop has always been about who was wack & who wasn't... it 's our right to diss what we don't like... just make sure you got a better arguemnt than 'they wack cos they from the South/East/West...' or 'they wack cos the sold 2 million records with a wack song'
Use your brain before you diss a whole coast...

Peace/Guidance

I'll agree and say yea that kind of music is still apart of hip hop. And some of them cats can acually rhyme..i dont take anything away from them but that doesn't change the fact that i think the're wack. i wont buy a Jeezy or Wayne album becuase i dont like them. same way i dont like some underground or more progressive artist..

but i think you should look at the reason why that music is promoted so heavily..and who's really calling the shots in the hip hop "industry" because like logic said above me..hip hop has been perverted and extorted by folks outside of the culture...but thats another chapter.

ITS BIGGER THAN HIP HOP
