From African Queen to Porn Queen.Have most Black women sold their souls and the community out?

I know this is going to bring controversy, but I think since we are facing such dire conditions in the Black male/female relationship that we need to discuss these issues.Above are videos by a brother named MMMayor of the group Church for men only, and the website www.blacktown.net. He was the first to attack the myth of the strong Black woman. In these video series he exposes Rapper Queen Latifah who used to have to love and respect of the Black male across the country. Now she dyes her hair blond in an attempt to look White.A clear sign of self hate and loathing. It is one thing to self hate, but when you are in the public eye and little children look up to you then I and many others who actually care about our people will expose you.For the past 40 years since the murder of Dr Martin Luther King jr more Black women have been educated and went into the corporate world. In the sixties it was about a common struggle with our community. But many Black women like Angela Davis bought the communist/feminist line about male oppression. For Black girls the chance to sit next to Blond women who they worshiped since the got their first doll was a chance many could not resist.Am I making some of you uncomfortable?Good the truth always do.So to is the myth about the strong Black woman. This myth is designed to humiliate Black men and boys.Black men are still running most of the successful Black households, not women. It is Black men who are building businesses at the highest rate among any other group in America. Most African American organizations, churches, charities, businesses are run by Black men. This is in spite of opposition from a racist White America.Black females are helped by the government. After 1968 White feminist convinced the proleteriate Black women that being 'independent' was the key and the result is every thug mama's boys, gangsta rapper you see.Get rid of strong men and the young bucks will rule. Now a solution to all of this is to mentor young men in your community.Lets fight these entertainers who are encouraging the thug criminal life just to peddle a few clown records.

only a misogynistic, racist, stereotypist could have such opinions.

first of all, just because somebody dyes their hair a different colour does not mean that they are trying to look white. i'm pretty sure that when Queen Latifah walked into that salon, she was not thinking, "Make me look white by dying my hair blonde, thus making my dark skin stand out even more." If somebody dyes their hair black does that ultimately mean that they want to be black or asian?? and if one does participate in such beauty treatments, how is that a sign of self hate and loathing?? should we all just go back to the times where nobody shaved their legs or wore bras in fear that we would be called self-loathing?

the amount of generalisation in this article is ridiculous.

Feminism has exsisted for a long time, these scenario's affect women of all races, not just the black community. Feminism, is not about making the other sex feel humiliated, but for giving the female sex more opportunity and less oppression. But you are mixing race into this as well, bring the black female community lower. Do you honestly believe that it was every little girls dream to sit next to a blonde girl? To marry some white guy, and gold dig off him?

Why are you putting females down like this? they are chipping away at this glass ceiling by doing what makes them successful, you are saying that because the majority of African American men run the churches and organisations, compared to the females who are ONE of the groups of people that recieve government assistance, that the males are being treated unfairly?

open your eyes.

Yo… Hold up now y'all…

I have read some shit on both sides of y’alls arguments that is bullshit….

I’m not going to go through and quote all the bullshit…

But I know the dude talking about the color thing with sistas was right… Y’all hated on him… But he was right on with that comment…. There is a huge color issue in the black community… I caught no love when light skinned brothas went out of style in the 90’s… LOL… But, that is an issue that needs to be recognized, because it is true… That is something we have brought with us from slavery… Anyone who says different is dead wrong…

That being said.... If I caught no love from the sistas....Then what?

Yo…. I have been reading a lot of touches on the interracial relationship thing…. No one has come out and really sounded off…. But it looks like it is boiling under the surface….

I will just say this… You should never choose a mate to make a political statement… You should choose your mate because of love and not give a flying fuck what anyone else thinks, says, or does….

No doubt the Black male/female dynamic is fractured but KALA Nation you're bugging if you think this kind of diatribe makes us stronger as a whole. Aren't YOU buying into the divisiveness by placing Black men over Black women at all costs? We are not suffering from Black women finding independent means to create although, as Black men, we look for 1,000 ways to blame them (go figure) for not helping us enough.
I don't even know where to start to expose the limited nature of your beliefs. First, feminism is not about Female roles versus Male roles. It's about recognizing how much females contribute to our society in the face of biases like yours. We should ask how we can build businesses together, how we can relish our roles, how equality and uniqueness can work hand in hand. Your male dominance philosophy gets us nowhere.

In light of this discussion I see your point.I never meant to down all single moms.Nor did I place blame on them. What I was trying to say is Black men are under assault in America and to many Black women go along with this division in the name of so called feminism.Black people we always had strong women in our community since slavery,Harriet Tubman,Soujorner Truth,Ida B Wells.THE DIFFERENCE IS BEFORE THE SIXTIES THE WOMEN WERE BEHIND STRONG BLACK MEN,NOT COMPETING FOR DOMINANCE.yOU SAW THIS ON THE Apprentice with Kwame and Omerosa.Other Black women and women of color dont compete or castrate their own men. This tread was about us fighting back against the forces of our oppression. We are the only men in the world who dont have a female that has our back.We need more Michele Obama's out here, real strong Black women not Condellezza Rice who refuses to marry, only show loyalty to her master and carreer.

But why should marriage make a difference? A woman should not have to be married to prove her worth.

Again, Black women aren't competing for dominance at all. What we do is mainly work extremely hard. If providing is competing for dominance, then there is something wrong in your thinking.

Women should not have to be BEHIND anyone. Never should we be relegated to second-class status. I'm more for equality, which is what feminism is.

Omarosa was basically a ploy created by white males and told what to say and how to behave. That's it. The majority of us do not behave in such a manner. We are not that shameless, so for you to use Omarosa as an examples suffers from the fallacy of weak analogy.

I'm going to say it again - black women HAVE your back. There are just a great deal of men who need to get off their "Men first, women behind me" mentality to realize that.
