Poor Man's Distribution..... learn more read on!

First of all I want to thank everyone on this website who has embraced me with open arms.... I feel there are a lot of real hip hop heads on here and this is truely my type of comfort zone. But I want to take my sentiments a step further..... I've been pondering an idea for a minute to setup my own distribution called Poor Man Distribution. Basically since I own and develop my own website www.daillestyaheard.com (plug) I thought of an idea of how I can help alot of independent cats distribute their music through the internet without it costing them any money or me any money. ( Only my time which is very valuable) Here's what I'm thinking majority of the people on here, have either released a CD or is on the verge of releasing a CD.... And most of you have html links to your website or places like CD Baby and etc. where your music can be purchased right? I wanted to create a section on my website called Poor Man Distribution which I upload your HTML Links on my website where the people whom visit my website can enter and click on that link and purchase your current CD. ( example is this)


Now if you send me the HTML link make sure it is not oversized but also somewhat visible too...... And what I'll need is in 60 words or less a brief promotional summary of your album. Now I'm trying to show love to as many people as possible but I do want to be honest please make sure your stuff is polished.... no horrible sounding demos or soundclick or myspace links this is strictly for people who have projects pressed and ready to sell..... also no digital downloads. Remember this is Poor Man's Distribution so we strictly want people to be able to purchase hard copies of your material. Now I do get alot of traffic on my page daily because I also run my own internet radio station so I get people looking for new shit all the time and they ask me alot where can I get that song.... Anyhow, here is how this can benefit us all. Imagine if you have your own website and you did the same thing too.... That means people that hit your website will be exposed to new music and vice versa. We can work it out to where we are all getting exposure on each other's website which means we can share each others fan base and increase our record sales. Now this is voluntarily and this is something I'm doing so if this ain't for you cool. This is for people who see the potential in this working. And like I said no strngs attatched all it takes is some time. People that know me from back in the day until now can tell you I've always helped up and coming artists out of the love of hip hop, that's what has always kept me afloat. I believe if you give it will all come back to you in the long run. I am content with seeing cats I've influence over the years make it in the music business even if it means that I never will...... this is no different than that.
