I don't know what you are referring to Kala, in terms of Africa helping the US. Do you mean they can teach us lessons on life and give us perspective? Or do you mean tangible material assistance?

This is a deep article. I'll have to give this one some thought before I comment.

What I mean is that African culture is so rich you have some times thousands of years unchanged even in the modern world.Tell me why is it that outside of rebels and insurgencies also dictatorships Africans in the same cultures tend to live in harmony with each other. It is only when they become westernized that they fight with each other.Look at the African-American culture.Tell me why with all of the material gain and advantages we have and we have this much black on black violence and self hate.In Africa men who are educated, wise are revered,we here only care about how much money someone has.You can go through out the continent and people who live off 1dallor a day are happy and dignified. So as Africa develops and income levels go up they will spend their money on roads investments, education, development.Just check out how we waist our money and the millions of us who now think a criminal thug life is okay.Check out what they do to criminals in Nigeria.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Well........ I'm Nigerian. Born there. Lived around the world. Been in the US since 95. And I believe that any country in turmoil should be helped. Now... I admit that the US doesnt help any single country it can not profit from in some way. This has yes hurt some countries because of the people being put into power with help of the US efforts have been tyrants. But there have been positives. The issues these countries have faced have been covered by the media world wide and have opened eyes to people that dont know whats going on in their backyards. I dunno... you raised a very good question on this issue. I've got mixed opinions on this one because they dont help when it counts but when its an opportunity to get a foot in politically theyre all in. Thats why its up to us! As people of the "free" world to stand up and aid our brothers and sisters... OUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS MAN! To do something about what goes on around the world. And I applaud musicians for being one of the biggest contributors to worldwide aid in poverty, hunger, aids awareness, genocide, and so on. I'd say this is one of the biggest reasons I picked up a pen and plugged in a mic. If you say it! They will listen!-ATLAS
