King, Queen, Prime Minister, President, Ruler. These are all titles of royalty, but titles that are often mis-defined or misconstrued. Rulers are elected to their stations by a populace who agree the elected official will best serve their needs. It is common, however, for people to believe otherwise; that the people instead serve the rulers. No. The people are the "king-choosers", king-supporters, and, if need be, the "king destroyers". It is the role of the elected ruler to ensure the safety and well-being of the subjects within the kingdom, just as it is the role of the masses to rid themselves of said ruler should he fail in his duty as ruler.
