About Me:

The name's AWOL... AWOL Da MindWriter. I'm a rapper comin' straight out of Great Neck, Long Island, NY. I have been writing since I was 13, and started rapping when I was 14. I have a long history behind me about my past.. how I grew up on rapping. I started kickin' it to some old school since I was 4 years old. I found out that I liked the melody of the style and the movement it made around certain indivisuals. Around 7 years old.. my first dream was to become a rapper, at the time I couldn't think of anything else in mind. As years went by, I have delt with drama. I was kicked out of middle school on my first year there. Years later... my mother passed away(RIP), which made my entire atmosphere hard to live in.... so then I was writing some lyrics and decided to record them at this studio called Undies Records(Levels), in Great Neck. I recorded my first song with RJD2's instrumental from the Horror album,"The Final Frontier Remix" but has been renamed to"Final Frontier NYC remix". After 6 months it became the most popular song that I've made.... I'm right now working with both solo and collabs.... I'm working on an EP... so you'll know if it's coming out... 1
