About Me:

Ever since the age of 4, Ceased Werds had a knack for music. He started out setting up drums made out of everything from aluminum coffee cans to cereal boxes, and eventually graduated to Fisher-Price keyboards for melodical learning. Raised on everything from contemporary r&b and soft rock among other music, Ceased would occasionally dibble and dabble into the world of Hip-Hop every now and then. It wasn't until the age of 7, when he watched the videos for "Mo' Money, Mo' Problems" by Puff Daddy, and "The Rain" by Missy Elliott that he would solidify his love for Hip-Hop music. The flash, flare, and creativity of both of these videos would leave a long lasting impression on Ceased in his overall life in general.

The year of 2001 would create a major turning point in Cease's life. At barely 13, he was introduced to FL Studio (formerly known as Fruity Loops) by his friend. When he asked to use it, his friend told him "It would be too complicated for you." Bent on proving his friend wrong, Cease took a seat behind the computer screen that night, and the rest, they say, is history. He actually started out creating Drum N Bass beats instead of Hip-Hop, but caught onto Hip-Hop about a year into his craft. Ceased was no stranger to rapping at this point in his life either. At age 12, he and his friends would record freestyles on his tape recorder strictly for fun. It wasn't until the age of 14 when Ceased started to become completely serious with both elements due to the hardships he endured throughout his final year of middle school.

Since Ceased didn't own a microphone, he began his production career first, under the name Axiun (action). As Axiun, he created a SoundClick page in mid 2002, displaying his first Hip-Hop beats ever. One of his first five beats was a Mario Bros. Hip-Hop remix which got international praise and eventually made it to number one on the SoundClick charts. He was certain then that he had indeed chosen the right career. In the beginning, Ceased was very influenced by orchestra sounds, which he would incorporate into his beats most of the time. As a year went by, the now 15 year old Axiun was known as a child prodigy with an epic amount of potential. Also by this time, Axiun had acquired a microphone which would turn out to be another vital point in his career.

Since Axiun had a mic, he could finally record his raps. He started out recording freestyles to commercial beats using Acoustica Mp3 Audio Mixer, but eventually he would be introduced to Cool Edit Pro 2.0 by his friend Rez. By this time, he had changed his rap name to Ceased Werds, but Axiun would stick as his producer name. Already knowledgeable in multitracking from using Acoustica, Ceased caught on to Cool Edit easily. In due time, Axiun would begin to incorporate using Cool Edit with Fruity Loops to mixdown his beats after finishing them to enhance the sound. Although he was already very gifted, the completely self-taught Ceased still had much to learn.

2003 was perhaps the most consistent year for Ceased. By this time, he was creating a beat a day, and writing whenever he wasn't working on a beat. In 2004, he completely stepped his game up a notch in both elements when he learned the art of sampling, and began to become a battle rapper and lyricist. By 2005, 16 year old Ceased had earned a reputation throughout his high school for holding such skills as a battle rapper. In the mean time, he began to put rapping more on the forefront and put producing on the backburner for a while. By early to mid 2006, he had lost interest in both rapping and producing, only to have it be rekindled later in 2006 after listening to some very inspirational underground producers. Now, in 2007, the 19 year-old Ceased is back and planning on resurrecting the true school Hip-Hop with his prolific rhymes and production, but also plans to keep himself very versatile in both the mainstream and the underground.
