    Your Rawkus Box

I am a slam poet who writes and competes as often as possible. I am humble, I am happy, and I don't deal with drama, so you can bring it my way... but alas, I will not react.

I am part of the Organic Canvas Crew, which is a poetry group out of Toledo that me and my brother started. I also one half of the Hylife Media Group. We book hip hop, funk, reggae, and jazz events in Toledo, mainly in the downtown area. I love hip hop, love the people that have been bringing it back to its roots and not talking about smacking bitches and pimpin hoes when they know that they have- or will fall in love and stop all that bullshit/ hype talk. Hip hop is love. Easy and simple as that. Music is love.

I host an open mic poetry venue that is free to the public and anyone can come out and share/ recite/ sing/ flow. Just a place to let you do you. I welcome all creativity in that spot, and encourage it. It is in dowtown Toledo at the Prestige which is right next to the Amtrack train station.

I also have profiles on virb.com, myspace.com, and facebook.com.... life of a promoter I suppose. To find me just search for Sara City Lopez.
City is my mic name. Sara is my real name, and I answer to babydoll also.

Get at me. and as always peace to you and yours.

Ok, is it just me? like half of the shit I have been reading on Rawkus has been people fronting on other cats. Come on now...
This is a site to network, discover new producers/ beats/ DJs and cool peoples of all different arts. Now please, if people on here are going to be so fucking defensive and just downright dirty to each other then why the fuck was this site put together? This isn't a chat room to try to front on people or prove that you know hip hop better than another. Cats talk thei…

Sorry to read you had to go thru all that Sara. The one positive is that since you're doing it yourself, its gonna be what you want it to be. Your vision from the ground up. When everything is finalized, you'll look back on that journey and feel even more satisfied that it was you, all you that made that possible.

What's up Sara City Lopez it's MR CEO here I hope everything is going good for ya. Yo I just looked @ your forum you posted and I agree with ya 100%. I am A true Hip-Hop head also and i'm tired of hearing the same stuff over and over again about Cars, Jewz, & Women. All that stuff is cool to A certain degree but that's one reason people are not listening to Hip-Hop as much anymore we need to bring back the old skool feel to rap & Hip-Hop and make music fun again. I appreciate u speaking your mind on Hip-Hop and making your point known keep kickin that knowledge on them haters. Yo but if u want to hear some real music come to my page and checkout the songs I got on their i'm sure u will be diggin them before long. I think that's it for now so holla back when u get A chance but until then stay up and take care.

    Peace MR CEO
    Sincerely Get To It Entertainment

Good looking out on getting those poetry venues for me. It would be dope if we could meet up and rock a couple mics together. :)
